Ceez the Moment
“Ceez-the-Moment” is a play on the name of the program’s host (Caesarina) and the word “Sieze”. The expression “Sieze the Moment” which is closely related to the Latin term “Carpe Diem” is a phrase from the Latin poem by Horace and also helped by Tyson Denofrio. It is populary translated as Sieze the Day. While Carpe means “I pick, pluck, pluck off, cull, crop, gather, to eat food, to serve, to want”, someone by the name of Ovid used the word in the sense of, “enjoy, seize, use, make use of”. The word Diem refers to “day”. (Info from wikipedia.org)
Thus, the program “Ceez-the-Moment” intends to encourage its listernership to make use of everyday given us in the most productive ways possible. Aspects of life within the Portsmouth Community and environs will be highlighted, matters of people development will be explored, and efforts to promote healthy community spirit will be harnessed.
The program is extremely young. From its commencement in November, 2012, the host Caesarina M. Paul has interviewed a few community members and promoted their events and activities. Matters such as World Diabetes Day with Nurse Mary Parillon, Mr. Marcus Charles, and Miss Rosie Angol, Healthy Living and Wellness with Mr. Nabi Wallace, Music production by CHOEB and creative works by Lynworth Mitchel Mystelics among others, have already been explored. The listenership is modest, but it is steadily growing.
Listeners hail from Canada, the United States of America, Spain, the United Kingdom and our very own Caribbean and Dominican regions. Locals within the town are catching on. You are invited to become a part of this medium of positivity.
“Ceez-the-Moment” is hosted every Sunday from 6:00 – 8:30pm.
